We have the use of a 4 acre field approximately 12 miles from the M69 / A5 Junction. the exact location will only be given to ("society members and invited guests")
The above view shows an entire 8 acre field, to which we only have access to the circles shown
Under no circumstance are we allowed to fly in the other half of the field due the safety of other persons who have access to that part of the remaining field
All members must be vigilant in observing full size aircraft activity:
In the event of a full size aircraft making its landing approach it is a requirement that all models should maintain level flight for safety reasons, so as not to distract the pilot.
In the event of a full size aircraft straying into our airspace be prepared to ditch your model immediately.
In keeping with BMFA guidelines a wrist strap should always be used and lines pull tests are recommended.
We have no restrictions as to flying times on our site and hopefully this will continue as long as we do not present a nuisance problem, to local people who use the area, for: walking, horse riding, cycling, dog walking,etc.
At present we have 2 full size circles, and a hard standing car park area, but no toilets or other facilities.
Fortunately the flying site is very flat and hopefully we will have at least one circle that can be used for all year round flying.
